Fran is a full time Melbourne artist who is known for exploring playful themes in her work.
Represented by multiple galleries both within Australia and Internationally, Fran has also been featured twice by Vanity Fair as an artist to watch.
Fran is a second generation artist. Her grandfather Ernie Carroll famously created comic strips for newspapers in the 60s, 70s and 80s. He later went on to create and perform Ossie Ostrich throughout the years of Hey Hey it’s Saturday. Fran feels her comical style of painting is a quiet nod to her grandfather's work.
